The skin is an important organ of the body and this may come as a surprise for many as people consider it as an outer covering. It is as important for the vital functions of the body as any other organ. It protects the body from infections and regulates body temperature.
The skin is much more than a large organ; it is a mirror in which the general health of an individual is reflected. Acne, pimples, blotches and all other disorders of the skin are all results of internal disturbances. These can be caused by incorrect dietary habits or even constipation. How do you cure this? Have proper food, sleep well and drink plenty of water and follow these tips to maintain your skin:
Some important tips for dry skin care
Regular application of a moisturizer with an SPF of 15 or higher is essential for protecting your skin against the damaging effects of the sun. Use this throughout the year to protect the skin.
Avoid unnecessary exposure to sun or wear protective clothing when outdoors as solar radiation and heat tends to dry the skin.
After a bath pat your skin and apply liberal amounts of moisturizer twice a day immediately after your morning shower and before you go to bed.
Use a soap that helps you retain your body moisture such as glycerine soap.
