Often food that tastes good and the one that has multifold health benefits don’t go hand in hand. Frequently the tastiest of food items are loaded with health hazards. We have a list of harmful effects of many of our preferred food items.
What if I suggested to you foods that taste great and also give you great health benefits, I’m sure you’ll jump out of your chair. Here’s a list try them and maybe you could add to my post what benefits you achieved from them.
Eggs and Orange Juice

How do they work?
Eggs are a great source of iron, a nutrient that increases the supply of blood. Many women don’t get enough of iron and hence they are at a risk of anaemia. This results in constant tiredness, lack of vitality and low levels of concentration.
Eggs are supposed to boost iron intake but there is a catch. The iron that they supply is not as easily absorbed by the body as the iron which is found in red meat. Citrus fruits like orange contain vitamin C which helps the body absorb more iron from eggs. This in a way means that the more vitamin C you consume the more iron you will absorb. So remember to have a large glass of orange juice with eggs.
Broccoli has long been known for its anti- cancer properties. You can skip the tortillas
Salsa and Broccoli and serve salsa with broccoli crudities to prevent prostrate cancer.
How do they work?
Both are known for their exceptional cancer fighting abilities and when combined they double their strength. To derive the maximum benefit out of this the veggies have to be properly prepared. The anti-oxidants present in tomato become more concentrated when they are cooked in Salsa. It makes them better than when they are fresh however the anti-oxidants in broccoli get killed when it is overcooked. Its better to eat it raw or just steam it lightly.
Fruit Salad and low fat yoghurt.
This popular food accompaniment is great for lowering blood pressure.
How do they work?
Research has revealed that by just increasing the intake of fruits and vegetables we can lower the blood pressure. Constantly taking a combination of fruits and vegetables and yoghurt considerably lowers high blood pressure in fact it is like an alternative to medicines.
Tea and Lemon
Just try swapping your regular cup of tea with lemon tea and reap rich health benefits in terms of reduced risk of heart and cancer.
How do they work?
Green and black tea is loaded with a product called flavonoids. These are supposed to protect against heart disease and cancer.
